Joe Biden’s Big Announcement Actually Backfired. And Here’s How Trump Destroyed Him

Joe Biden tried to attempt yet another reboot for his failing presidency.

The results were predictable.

Joe Biden’s big announcement actually backfired. And here’s how Trump destroyed him.

Thanks to Joe Biden’s radical socialist agenda the price of a gallon of gasoline hit $3.40 nationally.

Biden’s claiming to fight so-called “global warming” but in reality Biden is imposing a tax and regulator regime on America to destroy the energy industry by purposefully making oil and gas unaffordable for the American people.

One of Biden’s first acts in office was to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline.

Biden also banned new fracking leases on federal lands.

The fake infrastructure bill Democrats and RINO Republicans supported includes money for new electric vehicle charging stations to move America away from fossil fuel-powered cars.

And Biden’s proposed nearly two-trillion-dollar socialist spending bill includes hundreds of millions in new taxes and subsidies to prop up inefficient and expensive “alternative” fuels while crippling the oil and gas industry.

But the political reality is while gas prices rise, Biden’s approval rating sinks.

That’s why the Biden administration announced the controversial step to release 50 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

“The President stands ready to take additional action, if needed, and is prepared to use his full authorities working in coordination with the rest of the world to maintain adequate supply as we exit the pandemic,” the White House announced.

This is a hollow move.

Fifty million barrels of oil is enough for 2.5 days and will do nothing to decrease the price of gasoline.

In fact, after Biden made the announcement the price of a barrel of oil increased on the futures market.

“The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil index, which measures U.S. prices, increased more than 2% to $78.44 per barrel while the European Brent Crude index ticked up nearly 3%, hitting $82 per barrel. But, in an effort to knock down high gasoline prices, which are tied to the cost of oil, Biden joined several nations, including China, Japan and the U.K., in releasing tens of millions of barrels of oil from emergency reserves,” The Daily Caller reported.

Donald Trump slammed Joe Biden for depleting America’s strategic reserve – which is supposed to be held back for real emergencies – as a cheap political stunt to prop up a failing administration.

Trump’s statement read:

For decades our Country’s very important Strategic Oil Reserves were low or virtually empty in that no President wanted to pay the price of filling them up. I filled them up three years ago, right to the top, when oil prices were very low. Those reserves are meant to be used for serious emergencies, like war, and nothing else. Now I understand that Joe Biden will be announcing an “attack” on the newly brimming Strategic Oil Reserves so that he could get the close to record-setting high oil prices artificially lowered. We were energy independent one year ago, now we are at the mercy of OPEC, gasoline is selling for $7 in parts of California, going up all over the Country, and they are taking oil from our Strategic Reserves. Is this any way to run a Country?

High gas prices are a feature and not a bug of Joe Biden’s policy agenda.

Radical environmentalists want to destroy the oil and natural gas industry and lower Americans’ standard of living.

It’s all part of their religious belief in so-called “global warming.”

But now Democrats are paying the political price for this anti-energy and socialist agenda and Biden is grasping at straws to try and stem the political bleeding.
